It's battery-operated. Produces good airflow. Cons: produces some noise and vibration in the hand. It doesn't stand on its own, you have to hold it. The engine may give off some smell. It's more for a little while when you're overheated or to help someone who has had a seizure or something similar. To keep it on for a long time, other options are better. It fulfills its function, better than a fan. This is the 3rd one I've bought with these characteristics, two as gifts. It complements another one I bought that was supposed to be rechargeable but works plugged in. When I arrive hot, it suits me very well, or for specific moments. It arrived very well, box included.
